Apache

Apache or Apache Web Server is a public domain open source web server application developed to be an alternative to now obsolete web server technology.

Apache got its start by a team of developers known as the Apache group. But since this code is available to the general public, just about any web programmer can adapt and modify the apache code to suit their desires. The purpose of this technology is to create a server that can be accessed on the World Wide Web.
