Ecommerce, or electronic commerce, is essentially a business that buys and sells products or services over the World Wide Web. The products and services sold can be electronic in nature or can be physical products. What is being sold does not determine if a business is ecommerce or not. The transaction conducted determines if it is an ecommerce business.
